About Me

Life beyond research—mountains, movement, music, and games.

BEYOND THE EQUATIONS

A life outside simulations

Research is a large part of my life, but not the whole of it. I am happiest when curiosity becomes physical: a long route through the Himalayas, a hard training session, a run that clears the mind, or a piece of music that changes the texture of a quiet evening.

MountainsTrekking in the Himalayas and the patience of moving through difficult terrain.
MovementWeight training, running, and the discipline of showing up consistently.
MusicClassical music for focus, reflection, and the occasional dramatic crescendo.
GamesStrategy, systems, and worlds built from a few precise rules.

CURRENT SITE SOUNDTRACK

Mozart · Piano Concerto No. 21

The floating music button plays the same piece throughout the site. Playback begins only after a click, and the high-volume setting is intentional.

Mountains, teams, and perspective

Adventure sports taught me a useful complement to computational research: prepare carefully, communicate clearly, and stay calm when the plan meets reality. The same habits matter whether a team is moving through the mountains or debugging a large simulation.
