Accretion Disk Oscillations
Theoretical modelling of acoustic modes around rotating black holes.
For my master’s research, I studied acoustic normal modes in thin accretion disks around rotating black holes under the supervision of Prof. Pankaj Jain and Prof. J. S. Yadav.

The inner disk provides a resonant cavity in which relativistic acoustic modes can be trapped.
Using an effective Kerr potential, I derived a dispersion relation valid across a range of black-hole spin parameters. The project connected analytical modelling with questions in high-energy astrophysics.
